Fourth has been ranked second in a list of the 20 companies with the best workplace culture and leadership development – as chosen by employees. The list was published following research by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and job site Glassdoor.
Fourth was particularly noted for our split leadership structure, clearly distinguishing between two types of manager: the technical specialists and the people specialists. “If we all live our values every day, we’ll not only achieve our values, but we’ll be doing it with an ethos that sets us apart.” We currently rate 4.6 out of 5 on Glassdoor and believe our culture is at the very centre of the way we work, ensuring we live by our values as a business to breed success.
The CMI Top 20 list encompasses some of the best companies out there today. Fourth’s ranking above Silicon Valley giant Facebook, car seller Autotrader and tech heavy Skyscanner, demonstrates how we are progressing as a company at an advanced pace.
To us this recognition demonstrates the on-going importance of our culture and the way we treat our employees and teams that help us create such success, is working. We hope that our dedication to creating a strong culture will attract the best talent to join us.
As stated by Patrick Woodman of the CMI: “The CMI/Glassdoor top 20 highlights the best companies for corporate culture and leadership in the UK. At a time when trust in business is at an all-time low and there are major worries about the UK’s poor productivity, every organisation can learn from these fantastic examples of well-managed businesses."
