He sold a majority stake to managing director Gareth Fry in 2016 but has remained as chairman. Since the buyout, Fry’s taken a proactive approach to growth targeting international markets. Today, Statiflo has annual revenues of more than £5m and employs 24 staff. Sixty percent of its revenues are generated overseas. Over the past 18 months, Statiflo has recruited new business partners across Europe, the Middle East, Asia and North America.
Adam Unsworth, Plastic Card Services
Established in 1993, key areas to the business are card manufacturing, card personalisation and mailing, data processing, artwork and design as well as offering a secure warehouse facility for the storage and issue of stock into production. The expansion of the manufacturing plant to take it to 30,000 sq ft has enabled its card production capacity to increase from 80 million to 160 million. When asked which superhero he would be, Unsworth opts for Spider-Man, citing his athletic moves.
