Bollington Health & Leisure
The original building was constructed by the local community and sees 2,000 children each week, within the swim scheme, ranging from 6-month olds to teenagers.
500 local school children each week attend the centre, within the National Curriculum of key stage 2 and 3. 50 children with special needs also attend each week, on a one to one or small group basis with 50 adults of varying ability.
We have up to 50 lifeguards and 50 swimming teachers per year to achieve nationally recognised qualifications.
In addition, we provide water relaxation exercises for special populations, such as young stroke survivors, those with Parkinson’s disease and physiotherapy patients from the local hospital.
Of the combined 5000-6000 user each week, a majority of these live in the Macclesfield area and use the facilities to increase their fitness, education and much more.
